The Nutcracker Fantasy

Well, the girls just finished their first show together, The Nutcracker Fantasy. They did a wonderful job!! The show went so well, and both girls enjoyed dancing in the show; I think we may have a couple of divas on our hands! I am soooo proud of them...brings me back to my dancing days! So glad they want to follow in my footsteps and continue to dance and be a part of theatre. A wonderful non-profit organization that put on this show, definatly something to check out is The Red Shoes Dance Theatre. Check out their website:

Living Dairy Free, Egg Free, and Peanut Free

We found out about 2 weeks ago that Max has some food allergies. I figured so from the day he was born. He had lots of problems with the different formulas, and we eventually put him on Alimentum. When we introduced foods he would break out in hives most of the time a nd sometimes his face swelled. We took him to an allergist and had him tested. We found out he is allergic to milk, eggs, and peanuts. Ok...now what? I have been searching for brands that I could still make the same things for the whole family, but that he could eat too...I am still on my search, but thought I would post what I have found so far, in case anyone else is in the same boat.
* Prego Traditional Pasta Sauce (only one I have found so far that has no cheese, or dairy in it)
*Giant Eagle has a Value Time wheat bread that is safe
*Cheerios and Kix are good, safe cereals
*Enjoy Life brand has some great cookies for those special occasions
*The WholeSoy brand yogurt is pretty good
*Giant Eagle has an organice spaghetti called Nature's Best that is not made on the same equipment as egg noodles
*Van's waffles in the frozen section of Giant Eagle has no dairy or eggs

Well, this is what I have found so far....I will post more when I find some new brands that are allergy free!

Movie night with Maddie

Well, I took Maddie to go see the Yogi Bear movie tonight. As I was sitting in the theatre, Maddie puts her head on my shoulder, and I think to myself ' I am really going to miss these moments...I want to write about all that I can while I still remember the cute little things in life.' Her laughter radiated throughout the theater, and it was a great sound. Her friend that we met up with loudly told Maddie that she brought candy for her. Maddie says in a loud hushed voice "shhhh...they will kick us out if they her that...it's against the laws!" Thanks for a great night out Maddie!
